It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Billy Price Wiegant January 24th, 1937 - February 27th, 2014. Billy passed away, peacefully, Thursday afternoon. Born to Kenneth and Betty Wiegant of St. Joseph, MO, Billy was the 2nd of 4 children. He grew up in St. Joseph, MO and attended La Fayette High School. After high school Billy joined the service. He was very proud and honored to be a Marine! He carried it through into his older years by serving with the Saint Joseph's division of the Marine League. Billy had a passion for life! He was a meat cutter for over 30 years and really enjoyed his occupation. He enjoyed watching sports, science, history, listening to Frank Sinatra and driving lil' sport cars. He was fortunate enough to own a couple of 911's Porche's and even drive a little 1956 Mercedez Benz drop top. He loved to take drives. If you were the passenger ... you never knew where you were going to end up! Billy Price Wiegant never met a stranger and would give the shirt right off his back. Billy will be remembered mostly for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and his love for his family and friends. Billy is survived by his children: Joni and John Wiegant; sisters, Shirley Jean Northern, Judy Calhoun and Sandy Evans; grandchildren, Maxwell Price Wiegant and Victoria Rose Wiegant. He was a Father, a Brother, a Grandpa, an Uncle, and a Friend. He will be missed by many. A Memorial service will be held in Billy's honor on Saturday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m., 2014, at Lodi Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend.
