Sebastian Bortolotto passed away on March 30, 2014, at the age of 74. He was born in Salvatronda, Italy on May 30, 1939. He came to this country when he was a young man. He has lived in this area for 32 years. Prior to living here, he lived in San Mateo, California. Mr. Bortolotto worked in construction and was a heavy equipment operator in asphalt paving. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Lodi Italian Club. Sebastian was a hard working man who wanted to provide the very best life for his family, and he was so very proud of his 5 grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, Rose. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Gina, and husband, Jim, of Burlingame and Amelia, and husband, Vince, of Carmichael; grandchildren, James, Alex, Christine, Vincent, Gabriel and great-granddaughter Rose; sister, Guerina; and brothers, Ontario and Virginio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia; father, Giovanni; sisters, Emma and Angela; and brothers, Luigi and Guido. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday, April 2 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church. The graveside committal will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at the Galt-Arno Cemetery in Galt. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
