Theodore William "Bill" Keehnel Obituary
THEODORE WILLIAM "BILL" KEEHNEL, age 82, of Lodi, California, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014, following a long illness. Bill was born on June 18, 1931, in Loma Linda, CA to Orval and Lillian Keehnel. Bill graduated from Lodi Academy in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Korean Conflict and was stationed at Fort Clayton in the Panama Canal Zone. On April 15, 1955, he was married to the former Donna Jean Tunnell, and they made their home in Ukiah, CA, where he was employed as Service Manager at Daniels-Harlow Cadillac-Pontiac. He was a charter member of the Ukiah Junior Chamber of Commerce and served as president. In 1964, the family moved to Lodi, CA, and he became Service Manager at Hansel and Ortman Cadillac-Oldsmobile Dealership in Stockton. Bill was a graduate of San Joaquin Delta College and attended the University of the Pacific. Bill became a Real Estate Agent for several years in Lodi. In 1981 be began employment at State Savings and Loan in the Real Estate Owned Department. He retired in 1991 from American Savings Bank as Vice-President of the Property Management Division. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Lillian Keehnel; siblings, Thomas Keehnel, Kathleen Daniels, Mary Fursee, Colleen Parks, and Jenny Reyes. He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean Keehnel; sons, Mark, and daughter-in-law, Francine Keehnel of Fresno, Patrick Keehnel of San Francisco, and Ted Keehnel of Angwin; granddaughters, Jennifer Keehnel and Stephanie Wagerer; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Danny Wagerer, all of Fresno. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at Lodi Funeral Home on Thursday from 1p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.
