Angelo Charles Giuffra passed away April 19th, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born on January 6th, 1934 in the small town of Genoa, Italy to Agostino and Maria Giuffra. He came to the United States with his parents in 1938 to reside in Lodi. In 1954 Angelo and his mother purchased Peirano's Market in Lodi and developed it into a deli and catering service. Angelo was a devoted member of Saint Anne's Church. He also served in the National Guard, and was a lifetime member of the Italian Club. In 1955 he married his high school sweetheart Irene and they had one son Charles.

He is survived by his wife Irene of 59 years, his son Charles and wife Robyn, grandsons Christopher and wife Jaime, Matthew, Nicholas (Veronica), granddaughter Tessa and great grandchildren Carlie and Joshua. He is also survived by his cousins Joe and Eva Valenti. He was preceded in death by his father Agostino in 1964 and his mother Maria in 2008.
Angelo loved farming and spending time with his family and friends. He (Pop Pop) will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday from 8 AM until 8 PM at Lodi Funeral Home. Friends are invited to attend his service at the funeral home on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1 PM.
