Ted Clarence R. DuPriest, 84, of Acampo, was called home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2014. Born November 8, 1929 in Montgomery, Alabama to Clarence and Josephine DuPriest, he married Carolyn Gerule in 1950. Ted proudly served in the United States Army, and later he worked for many years as a Sheet Metal Foreman. Ted was a local walnut farmer, and was a member of Century Assembly Church. He will be remembered for his honesty, love of playing guitar and singing. His singing always honored God. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather.
Ted leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Carolyn, and their children, Deborah Taylor (Ronald), Ted Scott DuPriest (Loretta), and Mark DuPriest (Tanja).
He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Melissa, Matthew, Mark, Jamie, Amy, Katie (Bryan), Greg, Anthony, Lance, Lindsey, Mark Anthony, Mathew, and by his great grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah, Tyler, Kelsey, Kaylee, Kloie, Madison, Brayden, and Aubrey. His 8 sisters and 1 brother also mourn his passing. His parents and daughter, Kim Pratt, precede him in death.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 2-8pm at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, Ca 95240. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Century Assembly Church, 550 W. Century Blvd, Lodi, Ca with interment following at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane in Lodi.
