Annetta (Wittmayer) Comporato Obituary
Anetta (Wittmayer) Comporato was born on October 4, 1932 to Theodore and Alta (Meservy) Wittmayer. Annetta attended school on the River and graduated from Courtland High School in 1950. She started her journey from Dietrich, Idaho then moved to Daly City and then to Stockton. Her family had a few more stops on the way. They owned a service station on the River Road in Courtland and finally settled in Lodi in 1950. And as the story goes, her and her dad went to the gas station and there is where she met the Love of her Life Anthony (Tony). In 1953 they were married. Once her family was established and a little older she decided to go to work and ended up at Alpine Packing Company. She was the office manager and loved what she did. She became a member of the Stockton Credit Women's Group. She, too, finally retired on February 4, 1991. Spending time and hanging out with the grandkids is what she loved to do. She always said the grandkids keep us young. Grandma's place was always the place to go, you could find the grandkids gathered in the kitchen, getting advice for events in their lives or just talking for hours.
Anthony and Annetta were truly an inspiration to everyone they met and knew. You just knew you were loved by them. They are survived by their three children; Anthony Jr., Douglas (JoAnn), and Diane; Grandchildren: Mark, Audry, Dawson, Dalton, Mersades and Cheyenne; Great-grandchild: Jordan. This was definitely a TRUE LOVE STORY.
