Brenda Kosaka passed away on June 17, 2014 in Lodi at the age of 72. Born in Stockton, CA she has lived the past 48 years in Lodi. She attended college at University of the Pacific and later received her Masters Degree from St. Mary's College in Moraga.

Brenda started her career in education teaching Kindergarten and as a reading specialist, and finished in administration and as a principal for LUSD.
She enjoyed her participation in Soroptimist International of Lodi Sunrise, AAUW, Lodi Buddhist Church and Fujinkai. She was an avid Giants fan and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Kosaka; parents Rosauro and Paula Daclan; and sisters Belen Chastain and Deanna Balantac.
She is survived by her children: Keith Kosaka, Kris Kosaka – Cullinan and son-in-law Phil Cullinan; grandchildren: Kameron, Colin, and Carson Kosaka, and Cody Cullinan; sister Dorothea Madamba, brother Charles Daclan (Delight), brothers-in-law: Moreno Balantac and Sam Chastain, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22 from 12-8 pm at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Lodi Buddhist Church, 23 N. Stockton St. Lodi, CA.
