Bobbi DeAnn Highfill passed into rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 1, 2013 at the age of 57. She went peacefully in her sleep at her home in Valley Springs, where she lived with her family for 19 years. She battled many illnesses over the years, but lost her battle to a non-curable cancer called Merkel Call Carcinoma.|
She was born to Huey and Jimmie Thornburg on December 12, 1955 in Jackson California. She was raised in San Joaquin County and was the oldest of 5 children. Bobbi met the love of her life, Dean Highfill, while attending Clements church. They were married on August 5, 1972. They enjoyed many activities together, like participating in rodeos, water skiing, camping and boating. This year they celebrated their 40th anniversary. They had two children, Timini NyCole, born on July 8, 1980 and Talli RaNell, born April 7, 1982.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Pa and Minnie Thornburg and Carl and Opal Hicks, Father, Huey Thornburg and Niece, Kassidi Robertson. She is survived by her Mother, Jimmie Thornburg, Husband, Dean Highfill, Sisters, Jodi Shively, Dusti Robertson, Rusti Emerson, her Brother John Thornburg and their families. Daughters, Timini Gordon, Husband Ryan and Granddaughter Chelsea. Talli King, Husband Tyler and Granddaughters, Liberti MaKenna and Gentri DeAnn.
She was an inspiration to so many people because of the faith and trust that she had in our Lord Jesus Christ. There was no one more dedicated to their family. A friend sent a message to the family and it explained her well. This is what it said.
She had a spirit of Love, Kindness, caring, hope, Faith, ... she cared more for others than she did herself ... she suffered a lot. BUT she was always more concerned about her Friends and Family and how they were ... she needed prayers but was the first to want to pray for others ... I Thank God that I had the pleasure to know her and call her my friend and sister in The Lord! She today is with Him, JESUS CHRIST and now knows and sees the True meaning of Love ... because I'm sure she is in his loving arms ... God is Love.. She will be truly missed and I look for the day that we are all together again Praising and singing to Our Lord in Heaven.
