Diann Lynn (Wells) Dutra, 57, passed away peacefully in her sleep, the morning of March 13, 2013. She was born January 11, 1956. She leaves behind her husband Tom of 32 years – her wonderful soul mate, and her beautiful child Brent – for whom she wants the best in life and to live life as God planned.
The Guest Book is expired.
Diann loved her home, always taking care of it, inside and out – to perfection. With her beautiful touch of decorating, she filled her yard with trees and flowers, lovingly designed patios and walkways and places for cats, birds and butterflies to rest. She was always up to mowing her own lawn, climbing trees to trim branches and scrubbing patios by hand. Diann could not shy from any task.
She loved her 3 cats, shopping for antiques and re-finishing furniture pieces to bring back to life. One of her favorite passions in life was buying a 6-pack of flowers to plant throughout her garden. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, cheering them to 2 World Series wins in recent years and yearly vacations to Lake Tahoe to see the beautiful mountains and trees. Diann enjoyed the evening walks with her Tommy, always asking how his day was; she cherished talking and holding hands.
Diann is preceded in death by her brother Jeffrey and father Robert. She loved and leaves behind her mother, Margie Wells, her sisters, Vickie (Sammy) Wilkerson, Karen (Mark) Harris, Janice (Bob) Hermann, nephews Troy (Marlissa) Wilkerson, Jeffrey Smith, nieces Jennifer Smith, Jourdin Hermann. She also leaves behind her wonderful in-laws, Manuel & Carm Dutra, brother-in-law, Jim Dutra and sister-in-law, Jane Dutra Thomas, her friends & neighbors she has known all of her life and the ones she recently met.
At Diann's request services will be private under the direction of the Donahue Funeral Home. A simple card to the family will be cherished and appreciated.
