Raymond Frank Nowak, age 88, of Berkeley Springs, WV, formerly of Lodi, CA, died on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born August 27, 1924 at Lodi, CA, he was the son of the late Frank and Lydia Frey Nowak.
He was a Seventh-day Adventist. He was a high school graduate and also attended college in Lodi, CA. He retired, after 40 years of service, as a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service in Lodi, CA. He served as a Gunner's Mate 3rd Class with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mr. Nowak is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Jeanette Suelzle Nowak at home, one daughter, Judy L Rogers and her husband Bill of Berkeley Springs, two grandsons, Andrew Rogers of Middletown, MD and Matthew Rogers of Newburgh, NY, two great grandchildren, Paul Rogers and Jack Rogers, both of Middletown, MD.
Funeral services and entombment at Arlington National Cemetery will be private and announced at a later date.
