Mykel
“Why?” is the question
upon our lips
when one so young
away from us slips
from his earthly home
with family and friends
his work, it seems
to have ceased and ends
but those who knew
this precious young man,
and saw his life, will
understand he can
continue to live
in the lives of others
friends, acquaintances
strangers and brothers
the blessings he gave
of good deeds and love
came to us, through him,
from his God above
and now even in death
he continues to give
gifts of sight, health…
and chances to live
in heaven he sees
with those eyes of blue
the glory that awaits
me and you
We love you, Mykel

You were a gift and a light to the world. You will be greatly missed. You lived more and touched more people in 22 years than most people do their whole lives. I'm so proud of you baby. Love Mom
