LANDVILLE, W.Va. — Carl "Sonny" Toth Jr., 79, of Landville, departed this life Fri., Oct. 18, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Born Aug. 13, 1934, at Landville, he was a son of the late Carl Sr. and Rosa Sesco Toth. Also preceding him in death was his loving wife, Delores "Lois" Toth, and two brothers, Johnny and Jack Toth.
Sonny was a coal miner who retired from Arch of WV in 1996. He was an Army veteran who proudly served his country from 1957 until 1959. Sonny enjoyed building houses and additions, hunting, and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Carl Timothy Toth, Michelle Renae Toth, Mark Toth and Amber Bryant, all of Landville; two grandchildren, Zackery Vance of Landville and DeAnna Vance of Nashville, Tenn.; one great-grandson, Jacob Hopson of Accoville; six siblings, Betty Rowe of Albany, Ind., Patricia (Paul) Anderson of Hutchinson, Minn., Robert "Bob" Toth and Mary Toth, both of Landville, William "Butch" (Violet) Toth of Elk Creek, and Thelma Osborne of Millersport, Ohio; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tues., Oct. 22, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
