CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — David Craig 'Big Bubby' Bryant, 50, of Garretts Fork at Chapmanville, died tragically in a vehicle wreck along with his beloved little Pekingese puppy 'Pookie' Sunday, March 30, 2014.
He was born December 2, 1963, the son of Mary Rose Marcum and the late Donald Troy Bryant.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Dale Bryant, his nephew, Zachary Wade Bryant, sister-in-law, Charlene Bryant, maternal grandparents, Thurlo and Mabel McColgan, and paternal grandparents, John and Tollie Bryant.
David attended Chapmanville High School before going to work for Lowe's, Massey Energy, Alpha Natural Resources and Carpenter's Repair and he worked for many people doing odd jobs. David was so kind and humble and he was loved by everyone who knew him.
Those left to mourn and cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Rose Marcum, with whom he made his home; his precious daughter, Felicia Dawn Bryant of Chapmanville; two sisters, Gaynelle (Ned) Buckner of Foster, W.Va., and Debbie (Kerry) Coleman of Hickory, N.C.; four brothers, Clifford (Donna) Bryant of Lake, W.Va., Ronnie Bryant of Garretts Fork, Donald (Katrinia) Bryant also of Lake, who was David's twin and Keith (Darlene) Bryant also of Lake; several nieces, nephews, his girlfriend, Marie Marcum of Dingess and granddaughter, Jasmine, his sweet little mamaw, Ruth Kirkendoll of Chapmanville and a great host of friends. David will be missed by all who knew him.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, with Rev. Dean Sparks and Rev. Troy Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery at Garretts Fork.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
