CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — David Eugene Kelly, 58, of Tim's Fork, Chapmanville, went home to be with the Lord Fri., Oct. 18, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born April 7, 1955, in Holden, he was a son of the late Arnold "Spike" and Jessie Frazier Kelly. Also preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Nellie Triplett Kelly and his maternal grandparents, Emmett and Victoria Wiley Frazier.
David was a faithful worship leader for Ferrellsburg Church of God for the past 22 years, and enjoyed singing and witnessing for the Lord. He was employed at Holden Machine and Fabrication for 27 years. David never met a stranger and loved everyone.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 36 years, Sharon Jenkins Kelly; one daughter, Amy Lynn Kelly of Chapmanville; three sisters, Bonnie (Raymond) Workman of Logan, and Anita (David) Ritter and Ina Kelly, both of Whitman; mother-in-law, Eula Jenkins; two sisters-in-law, Debra (Darrell) Neil of Garrett Fork and Lana Salmons of Spencer; one brother-in-law, Kevin (Becky) Jenkins of West Palm Beach, Fla., and a host of extended church family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tues., Oct. 22, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
