YOLYN, W.Va. — Harry Lee Hipshire, 59, of Yolyn, went home to be with the Lord Mon., Nov. 18, 2013, at his residence.
Born April 27, 1954, he was a son of Donna Curry and the late Lee Hipshire. Also preceding him in death was his loving wife, Linda Lou Hipshire, and step-father, Don Curry.
Harry was a retired Critical Care Paramedic with LEASA with over 20 years of service and had won numerous county and state awards including Paramedic of the Year. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and football.
Additional survivors include two sons, Charles (Denise) Hipshire and Chris Hipshire; a very special granddaughter, Abigail Lynn Hipshire; sisters, Barb (Wendall) Ooten, Kaye (Jerry) Frye and Lisa (Larry) Ellison; brothers, Ronnie (Connie) Hipshire and Shannon (Tammy) Hipshire, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thurs., Nov. 21, at James Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Chambers Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Members of LEASA will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
