Jean Jarrell

BIG CREEK, W.Va. — Ms. Opal Jean Jarrell, 73, of North Fork of Big Creek, was born June 23, 1940, at Lundale, a daughter of the late Ernest Lacy and Martha Ann Johnson Jarrell. She departed this life Wed., Jan. 22, 2014, at her residence.

Ms. Jarrell was a homemaker and member of the North Fork Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Vernis, Robert, Seybert, Roy, Freddie, Troy and Joe.

Survivors include her son, Jackie Jarrell of North Fork of Big Creek; sisters, Ernestine Boling, Marie Chapman and Linda Ward, and several nieces and nephews, including her very special niece, Kimberly Sperry.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sat., Jan. 25, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Ronnie Linville, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Jarrell Cemetery on North Fork of Big Creek.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
