Zola Toler

TAMCLIFF, W.Va. — Zola Mae Robinson Toler, 79, of Tamcliff, passed away Thurs., Jan. 23, 2014, at her home.

Born June 22, 1934, in Logan County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Nancy Gibson Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a precious son, Fonnis Eugene Toler; two brothers, Rev. Gordie Robinson, and Lee Robinson, and three sisters, Melva Robinson Cline, Rosa Dean, and Ruby Robinson Stevens.

Zola was a former owner of Toler's Grocery, Toler's TV Service, and Toler's Water System in Slabtown.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 and one-half years, Eugene Toler; five daughters, Earnestine Grimmett and husband Rev. Jimmy Joe of Verner, Wanda Mendez and husband Sammy of Lynco, Mary Ann Wiley and companion Ronald D. of Gilbert, Doris Toler and companion Terry Villars of Palestine, and Teresa Lynn Cline and husband Terry of Baisden; six sons, Darrell Toler and companion Glenda Walls of Baisden, Jackie Dale Toler and wife Melissa of Clear Fork, Terry Lee Toler of Gilbert, Gary Wayne Toler and wife Tammy of North Spring, Denny Keith Toler and wife Michelle of Baisden, and Teddy Toler and wife Tonya of Hanover; a sister JoAnn and JB Sowders of Tennessee; a brother Wirt "Buddy" Robinson and wife Pam of Owensville, Ky.; 33 grandchildren: 19 grandsons Eddie Toler, Mark Toler, Shane Toler, Shawn Toler, Daniel Toler, Dewayne Toler, Randy James "JR" Toler, Adam Grimmett, James Grimmett, David Wiley Jr., Gary "Herbie" Wayne Jr., Carlos "Papoose" Toler, Wayman Toler, Terry "Man" Lee Jr. Kody Toler, Kyle Toler, Corey White, Joey Morgan, and Jacob Morgan, and 14 granddaughters, Angela Kaye Simpson, Janetta Nicole "Nikki" Tilley, Cynthia Lynn "Cyndi" Woolwine, Maranda Morgan, Breanna Cline, Hannah Cline, Darya Lynn Toler, Jessica Ellis, Natisha Mendoza, Piper Toler, Paige Toler, Misty Browning, Tonya Cosner, and Kaitlyn Morgan; 45 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.

Services will be held at noon Sun., Jan. 26, at River View Freewill Baptist Church at Slabtown near Tamcliff with Rev. Joey Massey and Pastor Baxter Toler officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Crouches Farm.

Friends may gather with the family after 6 p.m. Saturday at the church.
