DAVIN, W.Va. — Dallas Jean Corns, 78, of Davin, departed this life to be with her beloved husband, Jack, Mon., Dec. 30, 2013, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston.
Born November 23, 1935, at Rum Creek, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Mary Adkins Frye. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband, Jack Corns, and her siblings, Rosie Frye, Margie Peck, Dorothy McKenzie, Ora Frye, and James Frye.
Jean was an elementary school teacher who retired from the Logan County Board of Education. She was an avid bowler and was a NASCAR fan.
Those left to cherish her memory include two brothers, Otis (Palmis) Frye of Toledo, Ohio, and William "Junior" (Donna) Frye Jr. of Cheshire, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Jim and Joe Corns, both of Davin; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Fri., Jan. 3, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roland Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
