Delmas Miller

STOLLINGS, W.Va. — Delmas "Curley" Miller, 84, of Stollings departed this life Friday August 23, 2013.

Born August 1, 1929, he was a son of the late Delbert and Mary Miller. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Dellas Miller, and his daughter, Ronna Carroll.

Mr. Miller was a Korean War veteran, serving in the 31st Regiment. He later worked for the Westmoreland Coal Company as a coal miner.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ruth Chaffin Miller; son, Dr. Michael Miller of Florida; step-daughters, Tammie Adams of Pecks Mill, and Drema (Mark) Adams of Pecks Mill; brother, George Odell Parsons of Holden; sister, Sybil (Hallie) Adkins of Holden; three grandchildren, Heather (Dereck) Thomas, Rodney "Dusty" Adams, Jackie Adams; one great-grandchild, Jadyn Bryant, and many special nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 25, at James Funeral Home with Rev. Roscoe Chafin officiating. Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery at East Lynn.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
