Lee Otis Goff, 68, of Delbarton, W.Va., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, from his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 3, 1945, at Chattaroy, W.Va., a son of the late Grant and Thelma James Goff. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Goff, son Michael Lee Goff and son-in-law Mike Hall.
Lee was a retired coal miner, having worked for Hobet Mining Co., and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church, member of the Lenore Kiwanis Club and active in youth sports.
His survivors include his wife of 46 years, Edith Runyon Goff, son; Darrell Goff of Delbarton, W.Va.; daughters, Carmen Yvette Goff and Melissa Ann Goff Hall both of Lenore, W.Va.; grandchildren, Jaran Michael, Taylor Alexis and Darrell Jorden Goff all of Logan, W.Va.; brothers, Jack (Dorothy) Goff of Oceana, W.Va., Charles (Sue) Goff of Logan, W.Va., Roy (Mikki) Goff Sr. of Gilbert, W.Va., Donald Eugene (Flora) Goff and Shawn Goff, both of Lenore, W.Va.; sister, Agnes Simpson of Niota, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 1 p.m., at the Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church, at Lenore, W.Va., with Rev. Mike Smith and Bro. Noah Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in the Preece Cemetery at Preece Bottom, Delbarton, W.Va.
Visitation will be at the Church from 6-10 p.m., Tuesday evening.
Pallbearers will be Rodney, Darrell, Shawn and Roy Jr., Goff, Roger Urban and Bruce Pack.
