SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Audie "Little Audie" Murphy Jr., 40, of South Charleston, was called home Mon., Nov. 11, 2013.
Born August 12, 1973, in Madison, he was a son of Rev. Audie Sr., and Benita Faye French Murphy of Clothier.
He was a 1991 Logan High School Graduate and a 2005 Graduate of West Virginia State University where he obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (RN). Audie was employed at Teays Center in Teays Valley as a RN. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his kids in sports and watching WVU football.
Additional survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, April Sue Murphy; one daughter, Alexis Fae Murphy, 19, who attends Marshall University; one son, Audie "Trae" Murphy III, 14, at home; one sister, Carissa Dawn (Ricardo) Phillips of South Charleston; one brother, Brock Wilder of Columbus, Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Fri., Nov. 15, at Handley Funeral Home with the Rev. James Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park at Madison.
Visitation will begin prior to the funeral at 12:30 p.m.
