Pflugerville, Texas — John Percy Dillard, 65, was born July 13, 1949, in Omar. He fell asleep in death Mon., July 14, 2014, at his home in Pflugerville.
John served in the U.S. Air Force which led him to San Angelo, Texas, where he met his wife of 44 years. They settled there and raised two children until 2004 when they moved to Austin, Texas, to join their children. John later attended San Angelo University and went on to have a successful career in Special Education with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.
John is survived by his wife, Lydia Dillard; daughter, Gigi Newman (spouse Luke); son, Rafael Dillard (spouse Trina), along with 12 grandchildren, all of Austin. He is also survived by his mother, Eliza Jane Dillard; siblings, Philemon Dillard, Denise Dillard, Randolph Dillard, James Dillard, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1010 Blacklocust Dr., Pflugerville, at 11 a.m. Fri., July 18th.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to John's widow, Lydia Dillard.
