SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — LouAnna Workman, 70, of South Charleston, departed this life Mon., Jan. 13, 2014, at Hubbard Hospice House at Thomas Memorial surrounded by her loving family.
Born Aug. 17, 1943, in Accoville, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Zida Wingler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Mirdred Perry, Ralph Wingler, Ruby Morris and Fred Wingler.
LouAnna enjoyed going to the beach, play with her grandchildren, visiting friends, riding a golf cart with grandchildren, housekeeping and gardening.
LouAnna was a very loving mother and grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren. She also loved to cook, sew and do gardening work around the house prior to her illness. Her loving family will miss her very much.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Allen Workman; three sons, Ricky Allen (Helen) Workman, Teddy Keith (Lesa) Workman and Cameron Ross (Aja) Workman; three sisters, Madyline McCoy, Francise Duncan, and Loraine Elkins; two brothers, Billy Wingler and Bobby Wingler, and four grandchildren, Elliott Workman, Allen Ross Workman, Riki Workman, and Zida Workman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Fri., Jan. 17, at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight McClure and Bill Wooten officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 16, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Porter, Keith Duncan, Chipper Porter, Donald Kennedy, Terry Baldwin and Joey Browning.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Blair, John Hud, Monty Boytek, Jake Boytek, Brandon Duncan and Greg Elkins.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
