CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Ruth Ann Hanna Jeffrey, 77 of Chapmanville, departed this life Wed., Nov. 13, 2013, at her residence.
Born November 21, 1935, in Logan County, she was a daughter of the late James and Inez Hanna. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Troy Edsel Jeffrey; one daughter, Tina Lou Jeffrey; three sisters, Betty Hager, Faye Nelson and Rosalee Hanna; three brothers, Danny Hanna, Thurman Hanna and William Hanna, and one son- in-law, Guy Richard Allen.
Ruth Ann loved to yard sale with her daughters and spend time with her grandchildren. And she was an excellent cook.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Cheryl Ann (Jeffrey) Allen and Jill (Jeffrey) Rigsby; one son, Michael Jeffrey; five sisters, Ethel Cochran, Thelma Ferrell, Janice Hanna, Linda Nelson and Bonnie Perry; three brothers, Jimmy Hanna, Mac Hanna and Warren Hanna; nine grandchildren, Cassandra Jeffrey, Adam Jeffrey, Christopher Rigsby, Samuel Westlake, Sara Allen, Zachary Westlake, Guy Allen, Courtney Jill Rigsby, and Frank Allen; four great-grandchildren, Madison Jeffrey, Megan Lacy, Logan Rigsby and Caleb Jeffrey; special niece, Teresa Freeman; special nephew, Greg Butcher, and her loving pets, Roxy, Socks, Sally Ann, and Beau.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sun., Nov. 17, at Freeman Funeral Home with Vivie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dean Hanna, Jimbo Hanna, Josh Hanna, Tommy Hanna, Guy Allen, Zachary Westlake, Samuel Westlake, Christopher Rigsby, and James Oscar Ferrell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Jeffrey and Greg Butcher.
