HARTS, W.Va. — Georgia Elizabeth Conley Dalton, 90 of Harts, departed this life Wed., April 9, 2014, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 7, 1923, in Whirlwind, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Bertha Conley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wid Dalton; one son, Larry Dalton; five sisters, Nancy Conley, Eunice Bryant, Mavis Carter, Melvia Ross and Lola Browning, and two brothers, Ezra and Okey Conley.
Georgia was a member of the Hannah Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter with whom she made her home, Wanda K. (Larry Douglas) Adams of Harts; one son, Darrell (Jackie) Dalton of Streetsboro, Ohio; six grandchildren, Darrell (Sherry) Dalton Jr., John Wid (Julie) Dalton, Heather Dalton, Staci (Shane) Liddle, Kimberly Shawn (Brian) Turner and Beth Anne (Shane) Robinson; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and her special friend, Minnie Tomblin Smith.
Services will be held at noon Tues., April 15, at Hannah United Baptist Church with Herbert Triplett Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Frank Reece Dalton Cemetery at Harts.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
