HENLAWSON, W.Va. — Loretta Casey, 90, of Henlawson, departed this life Mon., April 21, 2014, at Hubbard Hospice House.
Born Aug. 7, 1923, in Coeburn, Va., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Icy Hall Kennedy of Coeburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Casey; one sister, Edith Bradley; one brother, Jack Kennedy; one son-in-law, Harvey Parsons, and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Casey.
Loretta was a member of New Testament Baptist Church, a Golden Girls Red Hats.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Diana Parsons of Henlawson; three sons, Jay (Jackie) Casey Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, Billie Joe Casey of Henlawson, and Jack (Vanessa) Casey of Henlawson; nine grandchildren, Joetta Thompson, Sherry Sullivan, Michelle Reenders, Joe Casey, Richard Parsons, Josie Vance, Tony Casey, Aaron Casey and Megan Adkins; 15 great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Brianna, Victoria, Andrew, Logan, Richelle, Skylar, Will, Greenlea, Chloe, Sebastian, McKenzie, Drew, Aubrey, and Ben; and one great-great-grandchild, Jazzlyn.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Mausoleum at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Roger Cox officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.
Pallbearers will be William Casey, Richard Parsons, Tony Casey, and Aaron Casey.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
