CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Joe James Lester, 50, of Chapmanville, departed this life Wed., June 25, 2014, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 12, 1964, in Hinton, he was a son of the late Robert and Salome Connie Lester.
Joe was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Chapmanville; he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching wrestling and Duck Dynasty.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janie Freeman Lester; two daughters, Kira B. Lester and Kaitlyn M. Wilson; two sons, Jacob A. (Brittany) Wilson and Matthew R. Wilson; three honorary sons, Scott Adams, Tommy Artist and Charles Sparks; three brothers, Jack A. (Debra) Lester, Daniel (Sabrina) Savage and Steve (Kathy) Savage; mother-in-law, Marlyine Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Donna, Charles and Jan, Beth and Brian, Paul and Rose, Ed, Eric and Sonya and Brett; very special friends, Allen and Teresa Sparks; two grandchildren, Winter Wallace and Wulfrick Knoxx Wilson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tues., July 1, at Freeman Funeral Home with John Wiley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jacob, Matt, Tommy, Scott, Charlie and Arron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve, Daniel, Jack, Allen and Greg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home.
