LEONARD DAUGHERTY
LOGAN, W.Va. — Leonard Ervin Daugherty, 62, of Logan, departed this life Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
Born February 16, 1954, he was a son of the late Edith and Ernest Daugherty of Logan.
Leonard attended Logan High School and made a living between Daugherty's Washer Service and working as a coal miner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maryetta Hammond.
Survivors include his children, Chris, Taylor, and Ciara Daugherty, all of Logan; brother, Gene (Teresa) Daugherty of Stollings; and sister, Kathy (Steve) Merrifield of Charleston, W.Va.
Leonard was a caring man who spent his life hunting and spending time outdoors. He was compassionate and personable to those around him. He was devoted to his family, to whom he showed unconditional love. No obstacle was too high for their well-being.
Services for Leonard will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, W.Va. Pastor John E. Godby will be officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, W.Va.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the funeral home.
