Lukasik, Stanley J.

Stanley J. Lukasik, 83, beloved husband of Barbette (Werner) Lukasik, of Westerly RI, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Born in Yonkers, NY, he was a son of the late Stanley J., Sr. and Mary (Kawecka) Lukasik. Stanley worked as a Researcher for United Nuclear Corp. for many years and was also formerly employed at both Union Carbide and Philips Labs. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Larry Lukasik and his wife Lynne of Danbury, CT, and Andrew Lukasik and his husband Tom of Lowell, MA. He also leaves his grandchild, James Lukasik of Danbury and a brother-in-law, Donald Werner and his wife Anne of Warwick, RI. Stanley was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline (Heymann), his brother, Frank and his sisters, Veronica and Barbara.

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside funeral service at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 209 Truman Ave., Yonkers, NY on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11am. Burial will follow.
