Pinto, Anthony S.
Anthony S. Pinto of Yonkers died on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at age 72. Born on March 3, 1941 to Anthony and Millie (Conde) Pinto in Tarrytown and graduated from Commerce High School. Mr. Pinto worked as a firefighter
for the City of Yonkers for over thirty five years; retiring in 2001. He received the award "Fireman of the Year" in 1973. He also served his country in the Army from 1958 to 1962. On December 5, 1982, he married Carol Ann Monsier in Yonkers, she survives. Besides his wife; Anthony is survived by his four children; Tony S. Pinto; Daniel (Kerri) Pinto, Stephen (Doina) Pinto and Cheryl (Brian) Townsend and his six step-children, Carl Lodes, Harry (May-Liss) Lodes, Nora (Wayne) Gutman, William (Katherine), Caroline Freire and Adele (Matthew) Hurtig. He is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his sisters Florence (Fred) Pierorazio and Anita (Robert) Collarile and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, February 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Committal service at Ferncliff Chapel. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
