Walker, Doris Duryee

Doris Duryee Walker, passed peacefully in New Rochelle, her lifelong home. Doris went to Thornton Donovan School, NYC Art School & went on to draw Mighty Mouse for Terrytoons. Over the years, she belonged to The Larchmont Shore Club, New Rochelle Yacht Club & Wykagyl Country Club. She was on the Altar Guild of Trinity Episcopal Church. She enjoyed going to The Hugh Doyle Senior Citizen Center where she drew for their monthly newsletter. She was a talented artist and sculpter. She married George N. Walker in 1939 who predeceased her in 1983. Her 1st son, George Jr. predeceased her. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sally Moran (Michael) of Armonk. Also her adoring granddaughters, Jessica Prezorski (Robert) of Larchmont, Michelle Moriarty (James) of Somers, and Cheri Garibaldi (James) of Florida. Also surviving is her son, Noel Walker and daughter, Sherry Morang, and granddaughters, Nicole Walker, Joselyn and Elizabeth Mason. She also leaves 10 great-grandchildren. Doris' parents were Theresa and Andrew B. Duryee and sister, Helene Nelson.
Grams was unique and will be missed for her fierce love of family, creativity, wit and determination. Private memorial. In her memory, donations may be made to a Emphysema Charity. Arrangements made by Lloyd Maxcy & Sons.
