Bosco, Frank Philip
Frank Philip Bosco, 62, of Proctorsville, Vermont, formerly of Rockland County, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on October 24, 2011. Frank was born to Joseph and Ann (Franco) Bosco on June 1, 1949 at Nyack Hospital. He graduated from Tappan Zee High School, received his associate's degree from Rockland Community College, and graduated from Dominican College with a B.A. in psychology. During his RCC years, he was a reporter for the college newspaper and enjoyed a semester in Alvescot, England, an international extension program. He became a Rockland County Probation Officer in 1973 where he worked until he retired in 2003. During his Probation years, Frank was involved in union affairs and served as President of the Rockland County Local 844 in the 1980's. He was also very active in the formation of the village of Wesley Hills, serving on the Zoning Board for many years. After retiring, Frank moved to Block Island, Rhode Island and then later settled in Vermont. Frank was a member of the Blauvelt Fire Department and the Sons of the American Legion in Ludlow, Vermont.
He is survived by his two daughters, Emily Ann and Francine Marie, his sister Theresa Bosco, his brother Joseph Bosco, and Emily and Francine's mother, Pamela Burns Eckstut. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. His parents, his sister Marylou Mazzur, and his brother John Bosco, predeceased him.
