Weiss, Gerard Arnoth

Gerard Arnoth Weiss (Gerry), 100, of Washington, Pa., died peacefully Dec. 2, 2013. Born February 3, 1913, in Lansdale, Pa., Gerry lived in Westchester County most of his life.

Devoted husband of Emily Hubbel of Tarrytown for 68 years, loving father of 5 children, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.

Graduate of Columbia U. and Law, Gerry practiced law for 69 years. In 1946-47, he lived with his family in Berlin, investigating war crimes of chemical cartel IG Farben.

Loved for his generosity, curiosity and sense of humor, Gerry was moderator of the Church in the Highlands, WP. VP and 27-year Board member, Burnham Corp., Irvington, where his father, Arthur P. Weiss, had served. Board member of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Survived by children, John (Elaine) Weiss; Rod (Nancy) Weiss; Star (Russ) Fuoco; Emily (William) McClung; Bonnie Weiss; niece, Phyllis Allen; nephew, Robert Hubbel; grandchildren, Amity Weiss, Polly (Marcia Ramoutar) Weiss, Holly (Dean) Broadland; Kristi Fuoco; Greg and Melissa McClung; Mark, James, Richard (Amanda), Ehrich and Arthur Gauvin; and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Eleanor Broadland and Leo Gauvin.

Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27 at the Church in the Highlands, 35 Bryant Ave, WP 10605. Donations can be made to the Church.
