Tiso, Nunziata "Nancy" F.

Nunziata "Nancy" F. Tiso, age 94 passed away peacefully at home in Rye Brook, New York on November 19, 2012. She was born in Afragola, Italy on February 16, 1918 to Mary Buglione Silvestro and Jerry Varo. She traveled to the United States on the Conte Di Savoia in 1937 to join her family, including 12 siblings. Nancy later became well known by family and friends for her Italian cooking, most notably her lasagna. Throughout the years she became an avid tag sale enthusiast and a trendsetter in her own right. Nancy also took great pride in her home. A devoted wife and mother, Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Roland J. Tiso, Sr. She is also survived by their three sons and their wives Vincent F. and Lori Tiso, Colonel Roland Jr. and Judi Tiso, Robert and Francine Tiso. In addition, they have nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her sister Tessy LaBarbera survives her, as well. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Monday November 26, 2012 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Tuesday November 27, 2012 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent Street Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
