Robert William Everett, a longtime resident of Tappan and currently residing in Stroudsburg, PA died peacefully on November 4 at the age of 66. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and had a great love for his country. Upon his return from Vietnam, he worked for IBM until he retired. He was born to the late Jack and Claire Everett and was a direct descendant of the Maybie Family who was one of the first owners of the 76 House in Tappan. He was a loving father and loyal friend and is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Bergstol and her husband Eric; his son, Robert W. Everett, Jr.; his brother, Jack Everett and his wife Pat; his sister, Jane Hyland and her husband, Dexter, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Robert will always be remembered by his family and friends for his unwavering love and devotion.

A Funeral Service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at the Tappan Reformed Church in Tappan with burial to follow at the church's cemetery.
