Hart, Thomas A.

Thomas A. Hart, 84, of Pleasantville, New York and Beverly, MA, passed away quietly March 11th, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband to Joann for over 60 years.

He was born in the Bronx on June 20th, 1929 and attented Cardinal Hayes High School. After graduating from St. John's University, he served in the Korean War where he fought at the "Seige of Outpost Harry", the last major battle in the Korean War. After Korea, he went on to New York University where he received his MBA. Thomas worked as a Chartered Financial Analyst on Wall Street until his death. He lived in Pleasantville, NY for over 50 years, where he was an active parishioner at Holy Innocents Church and coached Little League. He moved to Massachusetts this last summer.

Aside from his wife, Joann, he is survived by his sons, Thomas Hart Jr. of Pleasantville, NY and Matthew Hart of Scarsdale, NY; his daughters, Dr. Patricia Hart of Westport, CT, JoeAnn Hart of Gloucester, MA,and son-in-law, Gordon Baird, also of Gloucester; grandchildren, Dr. Abigail Baird of New Haven, CT, Morgan Baird of Newport, RI, Wilder Baird of Gloucester, and Madailein and Alexandra Hart of Scarsdale, NY. He was predeceased by his sister Eileen Gilbride, and leaves behind his sister Peggy Keller of Delray Beach, FL.

A memorial mass will be held on May 31st, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, New York.
