Vincent Malvarosa, 90, a lifelong resident of Port Chester and former owner of Isrow Tailors, recently died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Nusco, Italy to Amato and Marianna Malvarosa, he earned a teacher's degree and became employed with the Italian Justice Department. He later married his wife Elda and immigrated to Port Chester as a tailor until assuming ownership of the business in 1976. During this time he also obtained an equivalent degree and taught English at night school. He was a member of the Lions Club, the Elks Club, the IAPA of which he was president many times over the years, a parishioner and usher at Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Holy Name Society, as well as an honorary member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Elda, his two sons Mario (Heather) and Nando (Carolyn) Malvarosa and four beloved grandchildren: Paul, Andy, Vincent-Michael and Virginia. Reposing at Gunipero-Farenga FH on Friday July 5th from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday July 6th in Corpus Christi Church at 9:30AM. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
