Earl Berry Obituary

Earl T. Berry, Sr.

Peekskill

Earl T. Berry, Sr., 86, a longtime resident of Peekskill passed away on October 21, 2013. He worked for over 30yrs at Edna Lite in Peekskill, retiring in 1987. On June 4, 1950 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, he married Frances J. Tinsley. Earl was avid bowler; he was a member of the Cortlandt Bowling League and the American Bowling Association. Along with his wife of 63yrs, he is survived by his 3 children: Francine (Jeffrey) Armstead, Earl (Marcella) Berry Jr., and Gregory (Angela) Berry. His 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces & nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by 1 brother and 1 sister. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a Funeral Service will be offered at 10am, Saturday, October 26th, followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. I've known Earl for over 50 years and can honestly say he had the most pleasant disposition of any man I've known, always smiling, always cheerful and always willing to help in any way that he could.
