Henry is survived by his 5 children; Timothy, Barbara (and her husband Ron), Charles (and wife Essie), Thomas (and wife Dora) and Chris (and wife Karen). He also had 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Henry was born, at home, in Ridgewood, Queens on March 27, 1924. He attended Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn and the New York State Maritime Academy, Fort Schuyler, NY where he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy in 1944. After the War he pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering, graduating from Manhattan College in 1950. He worked for the New York Telephone Company for the next 38 years retiring as a District Marketing Supervisor.

Henry and Betty moved to Blauvelt in 1954. He was an active member and daily communicant at St. Catharine's Church. Throughout the years he was involved in many civic and church activities in Blauvelt and Orangetown. Especially noteworthy was his work, with Betty, in the Rockland pro-life community.

All those who knew Henry were touched by his ever present kindness, optimism and positive spirit.

Visiting hours will be Friday, June 9th, 6-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 10th, 10am, St. Catharine's Church. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.

Peace, Prayers and Love extended to the whole Braun Family as they celebrate a father, father-in-law and grandfather; one who's love of God and Family live on through his son, our dear friend Chris. What a true testament to the shining example of a faithful servant. Our sympathy is with you.

Remembering Mr. Braun and his family all day today. He was an important part of a wonderful childhood growing up in Blauvelt. I wish my boys had grown up in a neighborhood like I did and had great neighbors like Mr. and Mrs. Braun and great friends like Chris. Maybe that doesn't happen any more. My memory banks will always hold happy moments with Henry. A few minutes ago I was recalling sitting in your back room as he explained the game of tennis to me as we watched it on TV. Thank you for your kindness and friendship and RIP Henry.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

I worked with Henry many years ago at MetLife at Blue Hill. He was always smiling and always a gentleman. He was a pleasure to work with. My condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace.
