Bill taught me about business and economic cycles. His lessons were spot-on and I still apply the knowledge he shared with me as an intern rotating through his brokerage research department. This man was a true professional and a good friend.

I started working with Bill in 1974and we were together for all but 5 of the ensuing years until 1992. Afterwards we stayed close as friends and he was also my broker. I still remember the long conversations we had about technology (my specialty) and finance and the economy (bill's). He came up with the most innovative and understandable model that works to this day. Ethel and I last saw Gloria and Bill in October 2015 when he made an investment presentation to a group in my 55+ community. He was super as usual.
I wish I could have noted my feelings sooner but knowing Bill is timeless anyway.
I remember 9/11 when I tried all day to get hold of him but luckily he had an appointment and was late to the office. Otherwise he would have been there before 8 AM.
After he had recovered from his heart problems he said it was like he was a kid again, because he was living his 2nd life. What a glorious attitude.
I miss him now and will continue to.
love Ethel and Jim

When I was a young equity analyst in the 1980's Bill taught me, with great patience and clarity, how to analyze insurance companies. He became a good friend over the next 30 years and I will fondly remember his wit and wisdom and kindness. It was only a few years ago I found out he graduated from Colgate with my father, Peter Gould, in the 50's. My thoughts and prayers are with the Laemmel family.

As a toddler, Bill Laemmel arrived in our little neighborhood in Greenwich, CT. For almost 50 years, Bill, his parents, and then his own young family were our cherished neighbors and friends. How honored we were to have had that time with the family--three generations. What a beautiful legacy.

So sorry that this earth has lost a truly wonderful man! So many memories of a loving, kind, and entertaining man. I think about him every time I look at the stars....he taught us about astronomy standing in the driveway on a cool night. Such a wonderful family you were to the Dagon kids!

Love and Prayers to you all!

I and my whole family will miss Bill very much. I loved the way he said, "Peggy" when he would see me on Sunday morning like he was really glad to see me and I have saved many of the Palm Sunday Brunch cards he made. He was great with the children too, like when we made Tag Sale signs. I think he could have been an artist as well as a businessman. I also remember him decorating the Christmas trees at church every hear. He really loved that. Truly inimitable! A life well lived.

Love to the entire Laemmel family at this time. Bill was a great friend of Croton, a stalwart of the Asbury Methodist Church, and through his love of community, church and family a spectacular personal friend, role model and mentor. He and Gloria were a great source of comfort to my mom during her struggle with cancer. The morning of Mom's funeral, he and Gloria got to Asbury at 5 a.m. in order to keep the church as cool as possible for the summer service. I found them at 6:30 a.m. on the church steps, drinking coffee and reminiscing about Mom. This memory alone brings tears to my eyes. Thank you Bill for a life of community service. You will be greatly missed.

Bill, you have always been so very kind to myself, as well as our Family. Not just my immediate Family, but our Church Family. I will miss your talks, your reenactments in the Chapel of John Wesley etc. It is a very sad time for all of us, but a joyous time in your life . . . everlasting life. I know if I can listen real quietly, I can here God say to you "Well Done", and "Welcome"! My condolences to your Family, and ask for God's embrace to you all.
