Borsari, Carl

Carl Borsari of Somers, New York died on Saturday February 2, 2013 at White Plains Hospital. He was 75.

Carl was born June 11, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Antonio and Nancy (Benvenuto) Borsari. Carl graduated from Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn in 1955 and Manhattan College in 1959. After college he was commissioned an officer in the US Air Force.

Carl married Marylyn Fuertinger on July 16, 1960 in Glendale, NY.

Carl was a NY State professional Engineer who worked as a commercial real estate executive in Manhattan for many years before retiring. He enjoyed golfing, sailing, skiing and in retirement his morning coffee with friends and wintering in Florida. But his greatest passion in life were his grandchildren, Papa was a fixture at their many games and performances.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, two sons, Michael and his wife Theresa Borsari of Bernardsville, NJ and Christopher and his wife Patricia Borsari of Brewster, NY, his siblings, Ted, Victor, Mary and Marie. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Julia, Sarah and Jason.

A mass of Christian burial will be held February 6, 2012 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Croton Falls, NY. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
