Elaine Coren Obituary
Elaine Hope Coren, 93, a longtime Mamaroneck and Larchmont resident, passed away September 20, 2013. She was born May 9, 1920 to Hannah and Solon Librescot. She was married to Harry V. Coren who predeceased her in 1987. A graduate of Hunter College, she earned two Masters degrees from Columbia University and went on to work as head of publicity for the cosmetic giant Helena Rubenstein for many years. Elaine also authored a very successful book on teaching for non-professional teachers and worked as a librarian for Mount Vernon High School. She loved traveling, reading, politics and the outdoors. An independent, spirited and loving woman who supported various causes, she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children Cynthia Gottlieb (and her husband Richard), Janine Pouliot (and her husband Steve), and three grandchildren - Emily Fiorino, Laura Troisi and Gregory Pouliot.
