Malanaphy, Frances M.

Frances M. Malanaphy, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on October 12, 2013. She was 84.

Frances was born on April 28, 1929 in New Rochelle, to the late Salvatore and Clara (Iarocci) Zaffino.

Frances worked as a manager for Macy's in New Rochelle for many years. She was active in the New Rochelle YMCA South Side Senior Center.

She was predeceased by her husband Terence J. Malanaphy whom she married on October 4, 1952. He died on April 1, 2000. She is survived by her devoted children, Kathy Malanaphy Abramsky and her husband Philip, Patricia Taylor and her husband Richard, Susan Tighe and Terence J. Malanaphy, Jr. and his wife Mary; her eight grandchildren Caitlin, Meagan, Eryn Tighe, Jeffrey and Jaclyn Taylor, and Samuel and Sarah Abramsky and Brooke Malanaphy. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Rose Chianese. She is also survived by her much loved nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visiting will be Monday 3-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church, New Rochelle, NY. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
