Januzzi, George "Joe D"

George A. Januzzi, a long time resident of Larchmont, New York, died at the age of 91 on December 14, 2013. He was born in Mount Vernon, New York on February 18, 1922 to the late Vincenzo Ianuzzi and Pasqualina Paladino. He is their last surviving son of 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

He graduated from A B Davis High School in Mount Vernon and served in the United States Army during World War II. He had a 30 year career as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service in New Rochelle, New York. During his tenure with the USPS, he served as a Union representative to the National Association of Letter Carriers.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 64 years, Catherine Lovallo-Januzzi , his son, George, Jr. and his wife Dr. JoAnne Januzzi, of Pleasantville, New York ,his daughter Karen and her husband, Dr. Sanford Silverman of Boca Raton, Florida, and his grandchildren, Michelle Major and her husband Michael Major, Nicholas Januzzi, Kira Silverman, and Shayna Silverman.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church in Larchmont, New York, on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
