Gerard Lechleiter Obituary
Gerard "Jerry" Lechleiter of Yorktown Heights, NY died on Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was 82.
Mr. Lechleiter was born in 1933 in Bronx, NY to Edward & Jeannette Lechleiter. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and Manhattan College in the Bronx before ultimately earning his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 1964. He worked as an attorney for the Service Station Dealers of Greater New York in Mamaroneck, NY until his retirement in 2004.
In 1969, he married Mary C. Cavanaugh at St. Ann's Church in Bronx, NY. They moved to Yorktown Heights in 1976.
He was a devout parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak, NY, and will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of football, especially the NY Giants & NY Jets.
He is survived by his brother, Edward Lechleiter of Youngtown, AZ, his daughter Mary Beth & her husband Edward Francy, and his grandchildren Charlotte & Carter Francy, all of Wallingford, CT. His wife Mary predeceased him in 2004.
Calling hours are Wednesday, 2-4pm, 7-9pm at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The funeral is Thursday, August 20 at 11:15am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak, NY. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
