My uncle John was a second father to me. I may have spent more nights eating dinner at his house during my early teen years than I did at my own house. I could always talk to him, especially about our beloved Yankees and Giants. He is greatly missed and will never be forgotten. Love, Philip.

For those who unfortunately did not know this truly wonderful man, one has only to look at his family and witness the genuine love and respect he has bestowed on them and those who knew him.

Paul and Christolo, I know, I know. It's gotten harder, but you won't. I'll bet you a glass of water, he knew, he knew, he knew that you knew too. God Bless your family, it's a priviledge to have been included. John and Mary loved Zackery unconditionally. What more can I say, I respected John Sr. from the bottem of my heart. My son realized the opportunity to learn from him, and learn, and learn. My most sincere regards to your whole family.

Uncle Johnny made the best whipped cream. Using the same machine, my dad tried over and over to follow the recipe; but, no matter how many times my uncle explained the process, my dad just couldn't get the right consistency. It must have been that secret ingredient that my Uncle Johnny put into everything he did to give it that extra sweetness, his love!
Love always, Marie

Dear Cousins,
Your dad was such a wonderful man, I can't think of him without seeing a smile on his face or hearing him chuckle. I have so many wonderful memories of him; we were lucky to have him in our lives. Much love, Susan

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow attendee and the family at this time. Attendees are recognized on the theory "if it's important to some to mention in an obit, then we can spare a few prayers". Perhaps, the time at MC was both formative and important to our comrade. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
