Joseph Bakutes Obituary
Joseph F. Bakutes, of Spring Valley, passed away on Thursday, April 9th, 2015 at his home with family members by his side. A graduate of Manhattan College and member of its golf team, Joseph was a Certified Public Accountant who owned his own practice.
Joseph is survived by his wife Joan, his three children Joseph, Jeffrey and Joan Ellen, two daughter in-laws Arlene and Stacey, son in-law Todd, and seven grandchildren Joseph, Jonathan, Michael, Jared, Ryan, Christopher and Kaitlyn. Joseph is also survived by his two sisters Elizabeth Archer and Margaret Miller.
Visiting will be Monday, April 13th at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc. in New City, NY from 5pm - 9pm. Celebration of Joseph's life will take place on Tuesday, April 14th at 10:00am at Church of Saint Augustine in New City, NY.

Dear Joan, Elizabeth, Margaret and all cousin Joe's family-A few months ago I Googled cousin Joe's name because I have some family photos I wanted to offer to all of you. Sadly, I learned that he had passed away. I know how hard this has been on all of you and you have all been in my prayers since. Special thoughts and prayers to you on this anniversary. I'm hoping that your sadness is converting to wonderful memories.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
