Louis Larizza Obituary
Louis Larizza, Jr., a lifelong resident of Port Chester died April 2, 2017. He was born June 15, 1990 in Port Chester to Louis and Nella Tedesco Larizza. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 2008. and the went to Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ where he played Division 1 basketball. He graduated in 2012 with a degree in communications. Louis was a site manger for Lazz Development in Port Chester. He was an assistant coach for Manhattan College Basketball. He is survived by his parents Louis and Nella Larizza of Port Chester, NY., maternal grandmother Anna Tedesco of Port Chester, NY., sister Jenna Larizza of Port Chester, NY., brother Mouhamed Lo of Port Chester, NY., aunts Gina Larizza Ditrio and husband Tony of Norwalk, CT. and Renee Larizza of Stamford, CT., uncles Mark Larizza of Port Chester, NY. and Joseph Tedesco and wife Karen of Greenwich, CT., and several cousins. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday April 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shatterproof 101 Merritt 7 Corporate Park 1st Floor Norwalk, CT. 06851 www.shatterproof.org

To an incredible Mother and Father,
Your love and support were unwaivering. With a heavy heart I think back to my moments with Louie, and in perfect clarity see his perfect smile, I hear his goofy laugh and I will always remember the presence he had. I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I lost my son, almost 12 years ago this Easter. I know only too well the pain you are feeling and words do not take it away.
Know that God had a better plan for your son. We will never know the answers to why, but you must hang on to your faith and know that Louis is with God and will always be with you.

I did not know your son personally, but I overheard an anecdote about him that occurred he was about 3. He was in church with his mother and noticed the stations of the Cross.
He asked her: "They hurt Him, huh Mom?"
Then he firmly declared: "I won't hurt Him Mom."
Jesus Christ heard your little boy that day and has never forgotten what he said.
Neither have I. He must have been a very special person.
May God console you in the Name of His Son Jesus Christ.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow "Jasper Maker" and the family at this time. Staff -- current and past -- are recognized, remembered, and prayed for. We are mindful of the service of these good men and women that comprise the Jasper "forge" that making us what we are.
