Rose Garafola Obituary
Rose M. Garafola, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on September 27, 2013. She was 99. Rose was born on December 16, 1913 in New Rochelle, to the late Frank and Maria (Iannuzio) Ferrara.
Rose worked for many years at Schrafft's in New Rochelle. She belongs to the Catholic Society.
She was predeceased by her husband Bartolomeo. She is survived by her son Michael and his wife Jean; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 2 daughters Susan Simmons and Frances Garafola; her 2 grandsons Robert and Christopher Simmons and her sister Mary and 2 brothers, Frank and George.
Visiting will be Wednesday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc.16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
