Ann M. Spoleti, beloved wife of Edmund V. Spoleti for 61 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17th at her New City home while surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. She was 81 years old. A Bronx native, Ann moved to New City in 1958 with her husband and young family where she lived happily in the same home until her passing. Active in her community throughout the years, Ann participated in charitable work at her church and her childrens' schools. Like many women of her era, she was wildly successful in the most challenging of professions - the trifecta of motherhood, wife and homemaker. Ann is survived by her loving husband Ed and her five children and their spouses - Ann Spoleti and Jack Kraft, Teri and Mike McGugart, Chris and Terry Spoleti, EJ and Julie Spoleti and Elese and Rich Tonelli. Ann is also survived by her ten grandchildren - Chris McGugart and his fiancee Caitlin Buccino, Matt Kraft, Kate Spoleti, Carly Kraft, Meaghan McGugart, Collin Spoleti, Laura Tonelli, Tyler Spoleti, Michael Tonelli and Nicky Spoleti. She is also survived by her beloved Vitolo nephew and nieces - Michael, Robin, Wendy, Marie Elena and Gina.
Ann, you are an angel watching over us with the comfort and blessings you bring, you embrace our hearts and hold them close, Forever on Angels' Wings.
The family held private services with Ann in her final days while she was home in hospice care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made directly to the Hospice of Rockland County (www.hospiceofrockland.org).
Ann lived a full and wonderful life and will be in our hearts forever.
